Fall mushrooms

Macrolepiota procera just arrived ...

The National Parks of Pindus and Vikos-Aoos in North-Western Greece attract a lot of visitors every year that come to the area in search of fungi aka mushrooms.

Every summer and fall, when the climate is ideal with small variations of temperature between day and night as well as with often rainfalls, many types of mushrooms appear in the woods: Boletus, Lepiotas, Amanita, Chanterelles, Morels to name some.

The photos below are taken in two days of walking and collecting in the forests of Central Zagori area in Epirus.
