Porfyron Hotel in Ano Pedina

A romantic boutique hotel located at 1000 metres altitude in the northwest region of Greece, Zagori, in the picturesque village of Ano Pedina.
Ano Pedina is a village, one of the 46 stone built villages in Zagorochoria or Zagoria villages in the province of Epirus, located 35 kilometers north of the city of Ioannina.
The hotel is located in the center of the village, opposite the church. It was originally built in 1850 as a doctor’s residence and has done service as a school for girls. Now, Hotel Porfyron offers eight spacious, tastefully decorated rooms. Each room is named after a famous mountain in Greece. The aristocratic house is restored in a sustainable way, keeping its original character, which carefully has been preserved. For example, all 160 year old ceilings are still in original condition. There is a lovely outdoor terrace and a beautifully landscaped garden.
Hotel Porfyron is a paradise for lovers of serene tranquility, natural beauty, culture and not to forget authentic Greek cuisine. Yiannis and Rita Kirligitsis-Berends, hosts of Porfyron, value the Greek tradition as high priority. You will receive a warm welcome in accordance with good Greek habits and be pampered during your stay with our personal service, full breakfast and delicious dinners.
Porfyron Hotel accommodation includes eight comfortable rooms that are all spacious and named after mountain peaks in the area. There are four rooms on the ground floor and four on the first floor. All rooms can be booked as a two person room.
