Andreas Tefos was born in a family of stonemasons in Konitsa, a border town of northern Greece, that is renowned throughout the country for it’s masons.
The stone built single arch bridge in Konitsa, Epirus, GreeceHe worked every summer since he was 13 along with his father and fellow stonemasons and learned all the secrets of this almost forgotten art.
Although his main job has nothing to do with stonemasonry he managed to find a way to express himself in stone through making scale models of existing buildings, houses, bridges and churches of the area, using their original material.
